Instapure® Made in USA RVC-IPRV-12 contains the highest quality KDF media and coconut shell carbon to reduce bacteria, chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, water-soluble heavy metals, and microorganisms. 

• First Stage Media is activated carbon to remove unpleasant taste such as chlorine and chemicals that are dissolved in the water.

Coconut Shell carbon performs better than standard carbon “charcoal” filtering media in removing chlorine and improving tastes and odors.

• Second Stage Media is KDF a high-purity copper-zinc formulation that uses a basic chemical process known as redox (oxidation/reduction) to remove chlorine, iron, and hydrogen sulfide from water supplies. The process also has anti-bacterial properties reducing algaecides, and fungicides and also reduces the accumulation of lime scale.
