Instapure Made in USA RVC-IPRV-12 pairs high-quality KDF media with coconut shell carbon to reduce chlorine, taste and odor, hydrogen sulfide, iron and dissolved chemicals.

• First Stage Media is activated carbon to reduce unpleasant taste such as chlorine and chemicals that are dissolved in the water.

Coconut Shell carbon performs better than standard carbon “charcoal” filtering media in reducing chlorine and improving tastes and odors.

• Second Stage Media is KDF, a high-purity copper-zinc formulation that uses a basic chemical process known as redox (oxidation/reduction) to reduce chlorine, iron and hydrogen sulfide from water supplies. The process also reduces the accumulation of lime scale.
